A Scenic Hike in the World Heritage Forest at Dikarbacken

A hike through a cultural-historical landscape where the water’s path to the mine was the vital lifeline. We learn more about the place, the region, its people, and events from the past.

We’ll visit the Dikarbacken museum farm and learn about the native breeds grazing in the woods and fields.

Fika is prepared over an open fire, using local ingredients and flavors from nature.

A hike of about 3 km, ending at the Falu Mine, where you can continue exploring the World Heritage Site both above and below ground!

Take bus No. 14 from downtown to Götgården; the guide will meet you at the bus stop. Other transportation options can be booked in advance.
